I’m sure this is all due to some tech-bro-MBA’s idea of “growth hacking”, but Dropbox sure likes to scare you into using additional features.
The Mac in this screenshot has a 500 GB drive with 150 GB free – and that’s already including the full contents of the 25 GB Dropbox account synced locally.
Apps that think they’re so important they have the right to insert themselves not only into your favorites – but the top spot, too.
I understand what they’re trying to say, but could they make it anymore confusing for an average user?
This scary warning appears when installing on a hard drive with 500 GB of free space and a Dropbox account containing less than 20 GB.
